Breeders and growers – where should the EC focus research funds to future proof our crops?
We need to adapt our crops to address the abiotic impacts of climate change and the growing demand for food and plant-based products. Many projects look to academics to decide what features of crops need to change, or how we can mitigate the impact of higher temperatures and increased frequency of extreme events. The CAPITALISE project think the views of breeders and growers should also be heard when developing strategies for future crops.
We want to know what research excites breeders and growers?
What do you think are the big issues that need to be addressed in order to future proof crop production for the next 30 years?
Be part of the solution by filling in our survey. The results of this survey will influence the direction of a Research Roadmap that will be presented to the EC to advise them where they should be making more research and innovation funding available.
