Dr Dave Kramer
Dave began as the Scientific Director of the Jan IngenHousz Institute (JII) in October 2023. His research has focused on understanding how the energy conversion machinery of photosynthesis works at increasing levels of complexity, starting from the biophysical and biochemical reactions of electron and proton transport, and extending to high-throughput phenotyping of photosynthetic responses to real world conditions.
Title: The problem of photosynthetic limitations: What in the world can we do?
Webinar date: Tuesday 5th March 14.00 CET
Abstract:
The presentation will focus on why we need to develop new scientific tools and approaches. How these enable and engage broader communities to address broader questions, like what processes in photosynthesis limit photosynthesis, when, where and in what species? And are any of these good targets to make agriculture more productive and sustainable?
